A photo canvas.

Last weekend I spent Saturday at Jendeninks craft shop and spent a lovely day making a canvas using all different bits of metal, lace, fabric and a photo. My Photo is of a gargoyle from Notre Dame.

After adding all the bits of metal and stuff the canvas was covered in gesso.

Then it was time time to have fun with inks. At first the result was too coppery, it needed to be more stone like so out came melted chocolate and black. I love the way the inks interact with each other as you add more layers. I am really pleased with the result.
